Isaac and bunkers
Hurricane Isaac left his mark on Glen Echo. 3.09" of rain came for the most part between 10 a.m. Friday and 5 p.m. on Saturday with 1.25" occurring in a cloudburst around 6:30 p.m on Friday evening. Lakes have filled twice in a week which is good for the water bill. Looks like the 30 day period between August 13 and September 13 will be at or very near normal which is a good for all of us.
We are less than 14 days from the beginning of our bunker renovation project. Nervous anticipation is beginning to make its way into my system. Confidence is high for a successful project but there is always some anxiety leading up to the start. After a couple of weekends of pumping bunkers, I know the staff and I are really excited about getting this project started!
