Day #15, Bunker Restoration, 'Movin On'

The staff was 'Moving On' yesterday with a great deal of work accomplished.  We have over 1/2 a days  worth of work to accomplish on #7 and it will be complete.  We installed drainage and cleaned out the right rear and left side of #7.  Sand was added to the right rear but not in total.  We trenched the outflow drain for the left bunker on #7 across the fairway and back filled it.  #4 right side was made ready for Kye to shape.  We also attempted to trench the left bunker on #6 but it is still too wet.  The left side #4 bunker was trenched instead.

Kye completed #5 as well as the right bunker on #4.  He is currently working on #8 as I type.  If the rain is in light enough amounts he will probably work on #13 on Friday/Saturday.

#4 right bunker shaping.

Trenching across in front of the fairway we ran into this giant boulder that is about 8-10" below the surface.  That monster stayed in the ground.

The staff placing the drainage in the right rear bunker of #7.

Sand and sod nearly completed in the right rear bunker of #7.

Soil clean out of #7 left bunker.  The staff had to use buckets to remove the soil because the bottom of the bunker was still somewhat wet and soft from the rains of the last couple of weeks.

The left front approach bunker was removed and sod put in its place.  This view is looking  toward the left green side bunker.
