Day 12.5, Bunker Restoration A River Runs Through It, GO CARDS

We were lucky a river did not run through it but after being chased in once by rain and lightning, and then a second time by a cold rain shower, we finally called it quits at lunch.  7/10" did not wash out our work but it has added at least two more days to our ever growing rain out of six days so far out of the first 18 calendar days since we started the project.  We did lay a few yards of sod that was left over from last night's work on #18.  We were also able to trench our outflow line from the right bunker on #18 down to the other two bunkers that we joined at the cart path at the bottom of the hill below the approach bunker on #18.  We still have some mess to clean up on #18 in the morning and will have some sod work that will have to be completed early next week.

Kye delayed his arrival this morning hoping the rain would pass but it finally caught up with us and he was unable to do any work.  No work is scheduled for the weekend except our course duties due to the wet conditions.  If we stay dry next week, we expect to get the final touches on #18 complete in short order as well as getting the left bunkers on 6, 4 completed and hope to end the week with #7 being completed.  I expect Kye to get 7 finished, 5, the right side of 4 and 8.
Staff trenching the outflow from #18 right bunker across to where it will tie into the other two bunkers near the cart path.

Not complete but getting close.  The work is looking great!  You can see the drain outflow coming from the right bunker which will  need to back filled with soil and sodded.  We have widened the zoysia approach about double its size and have added a zoysia approach all the way to the 30" collar instead of the false front bentgrass approach.  To give us more turning room on the left side of the green we removed the collar and will use 2.5' of the green for the new collar on the left side.  We also have to lay fescue in the old right green side bunker which was filled in.
Not a great shot of the front right bunker on #7 but this will give you an idea  of what we are trying to do.

The right rear bunker on #7 without drainage holding a little water.  An old irrigation pipe that was dug out during the excavation and needs to be cut off.
